Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work in order to make ends meet. Lennox made the decision to alter her path in life following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience in contrast to the other Royal Academy students. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. The main part of her role was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her debut solo album Diva, which was released by 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. is the companion album of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'll Let You go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. The Tourists gained some minor notoriety for Dave Stewart's work in the 1970s. They went on, through the 1980s to be the cult duo Eurythmics.
